Code On Fire (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users and members to do the same. It is our policy to respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”).

This DMCA Policy outlines the procedures we follow to handle such claims and the rights of copyright holders.

1. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you are a copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of one, and you believe that your copyrighted work has been used on our site in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, you may submit a written DMCA Takedown Notice to us that includes the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or person authorized to act on their behalf

2. Counter-Notification Procedure

If you believe your material was removed or disabled in error or misidentification, you may send us a written counter-notification that includes:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature

  2. Identification of the material removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal

  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification

  4. Your name, address, telephone number, and email address

  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district, and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original DMCA notice

We will forward your counter-notification to the original complaining party. If they do not file a lawsuit within 10 business days, we may restore the material.

3. Repeat Infringers

We reserve the right to terminate, suspend, or block access to the site or program for any user who is found to be a repeat infringer of copyrighted content.

4. Disclaimer

Submitting a false or abusive DMCA takedown notice or counter-notification may result in legal liability under Section 512(f) of the DMCA. Please act responsibly and ensure your claims are legitimate.
